Selling a home in today’s market is no easy task!
I know, because for seven months after I listed my home with a realtor, I had no buyers. Did I fire my realtor? Nope. But I did tell her we needed to use a new strategy if we were to ever get my house sold.
On the internet one day, I found a ‘home-selling’ website that struck me as unusual. It explained that even in a down market like the one we’re in today, you could still sell your home in 3 weeks or less.
Although I was initially skeptical about the website’s claims, it intrigued me enough to where I purchased the eBook the website’s author was selling.
It had a “try it and see for yourself ” guarantee… So I got it.
After reading and digesting the strategies the author mentioned to use, I decided to give it a shot.
The first thing I did was practice writing out a carefully-constructed classified ad, that matched the examples given in the ebook. I then called in the ad to my local newspaper and afterwards typed another ad on a free internet website.
I then waited…
About three days later, my phone started ringing… some of them came from the newspaper ad, and others from the internet ad.
The people who called peppered me with various question about the property. I answered them just the way the eBook mentioned. (It’s as if he knew exactly the kind of unique questions the interested parties would ask.)
I then forwarded the names and phone numbers to my realtor, and she took care of the rest.
About two weeks later, after several showings, I had a signed and sealed offer. Once the inspection passed and everything else got the green light, it was a done deal.
